Complaints and Appeals
Aureum Academic Journal (AAJ) recognizes the right of authors, reviewers, readers, and other concerned parties to submit substantiated complaints or appeals relating to scholarly publishing practices.
1. Editorial Appeals
Authors may appeal decisions when they identify a significant factual misunderstanding, procedural irregularity, conflict of interest, or substantial error in the editorial evaluation.
Appeals must provide the manuscript identification, reasons for reconsideration, and supporting documentation.
2. Complaints
Complaints concerning editorial behavior, peer review, publication ethics, research misconduct, and published content may be submitted for assessment.
3. Investigation
The editorial office will review the available evidence, request further information where necessary, and determine an appropriate response.
4. Independence
Complaints involving an editor must be assessed by an appropriately independent editor or authorized publisher representative.
5. Confidentiality and Fairness
AAJ will handle complaints and appeals confidentially, impartially, and without retaliation against individuals raising concerns in good faith.
6. Final Outcome
Possible outcomes include clarification, confirmation of the original decision, reconsideration, additional review, correction, or other appropriate editorial action.
